Getting started with performance tuning and profiling of a Unreal Engine 4 project
Performance is the be-all and end-all when developing an interactive application. Especially the Unreal Engine 4 offers excellent tools to find possible weak points in your own code or in the graphics pipeline of a project. In this seminar you will get a deeper insight into the functions and the handling of the profiling tool, so that you will be able to work much more efficiently and effectively identify weak points in your own project. The seminar is based on a practical example project, which is used to comprehensively explore the profiling possibilities of the Unreal Engine 4. The teaching templates used, as well as the final files created by the participants during the course, will be handed over to the participants at the end of the course. These can then be used privately or commercially with the freely available Unreal Engine 4 version from the manufacturer’s homepage, e.g. to further deepen learned facts.
